Michael King

Chief Operating Officer

Michael King serves as the Chief Operating Officer at United Veteran Benefits Agency, bringing a wealth of experience from his distinguished 21-year career in the US Army, where he retired as a Sergeant Major. Based in Lenox, MA, Michael's military background provides him with a unique understanding of the challenges veterans face, both during service and in their transition to civilian life.

As a retired servicemember, Michael is deeply committed to supporting his fellow veterans. He recognizes that the systems designed to assist veterans can often be confusing and difficult to navigate successfully. This insight fuels his passion for helping veterans access the benefits they've earned through their service.

Michael's dedication to the veteran community extends beyond his professional role. He is an active member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association and serves as the Alumni Coordinator for the Motorcycle Relief Project. These involvements allow him to combine his love for riding motorcycles with his commitment to supporting veterans.

In his personal life, Michael is a family man, married with three adult children. When not working or volunteering, he enjoys the company of his two "arctic fur goblins," Betty and Rosie, adding a touch of playfulness to his home life.

Michael's creative side shines through in his hobby of "creating things," a pursuit that likely draws on the skills he honed while earning his Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Lesley University. This artistic background, combined with his Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso, gives Michael a unique perspective in his approach to veteran advocacy and support.

Through his role at United Veteran Benefits Agency, Michael continues to serve his country by ensuring that veterans receive the support and benefits they deserve, applying his leadership skills, creativity, and firsthand understanding of military life to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have served.
