CSM(R) Jones currently serves as President of United Shield Life Insurance, which provides benefits coaching to support our Veterans since 2016. Merle previously served as President of the local Rotary Club and President of the National Board of Directors for the Military Police Regimental Association. In 2011, CSM (R) Jones was inducted into the Military Police Hall of Fame.

He and his wife Connie Jones founded United Veteran Benefits Agency in 2019. After sitting at 30% VA disability rating for years, though his health was deteriorating, he knew he needed to create a team of knowledgeable VA professionals and Veterans that could stand up for Veterans to get a proper VA disability rating. A rating that would reflect their service. Starting with a team of just three, the company has gown to over 20 employees throughout the United States in 2024, and has no plans of stopping.

When Merle isn’t working or giving back to the community, he enjoys spending time with his family.
