At United Veteran Benefits Agency, our mission goes beyond helping veterans secure the benefits they deserve—it's about building community, raising awareness, and supporting healing in every way we can. This summer, our own Brittany Welts ran—and rallied her team—in Boston at the 2025 Run to Home Base, a powerful event supporting veterans and their families.

About Run to Home Base
The Run to Home Base, presented by RTX, is a cornerstone fundraising event for the non-profit Home Base, inviting participants to run a 9K or join the 5K walk through Boston’s iconic neighborhoods, culminating in the unforgettable moment of crossing home plate at Fenway Park. The run is Home Base’s most critical annual fundraiser, essential to its mission of funding clinical care and support for veterans affected by the invisible wounds of military service.
In 2025, the event raised an astonishing $3.6 million—bringing it closer to its ambitious $4 million goal
Who Is Home Base?
Founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and the Boston Red Sox, Home Base is a national nonprofit committed to healing the invisible wounds of war—including PTSD, traumatic brain injury, depression, anxiety, and more—for veterans, service members, military families, and families of the fallen. Since its founding in 2009, Home Base has served over 45,000 individuals and trained 85,000+ clinicians, first responders, and educators—all at no cost.
Run to Home Base’s Impact
Run to Home Base funds provide direct support for clinical care, wellness programs, research, and education for veterans and their families. From outpatient clinics and resilience training to intensive clinical programs (ICP) delivering up to a year’s worth of therapy in just two weeks—for veterans nationwide—all services are offered at no charge.
Brittany Welts & Team UVBA Step Up
We’re incredibly proud of Brittany and her dedicated team. Their participation at Fenway Park not only helped amplify Home Base’s life-saving work but also brought together the spirit of service and solidarity.
Community Spirit: Brittany and her team, comprised of veterans, military spouses, and family members, embodied the heart of our mission—supporting warrior wellness in action.
Generous Giving: Together, they raised nearly $9,000, including a significant donation from United Veteran Benefits Agency itself—embedding our values into every step they ran.
Visibility & Momentum: Their involvement contributed to pushing 2025’s fundraising total toward that impressive $4M goal—at a moment when Home Base’s programs continue to expand and reach more veterans than ever.
